Hi! I know I’ve been quiet so far. I have been working behind the scenes on getting this project off the ground and I thought it was time to say something to those of you who are reading this. I know if I were you I would be wondering. Who is this guy? Why is he doing this? What qualifies him to do this? I am still wondering myself what the answers to these questions are! I’m just kidding.
As President of Nerd Enterprises, Inc., an accounting and bookkeeping consulting and training company I am often presented with ideas from people to take on various projects in partnership so that I can lend my expertise in helping to develop these projects. I turn most of them down because I really don’t have the time, but when the idea for AnalystsOnline.com was presented to me it just seemed perfect. In 1991 at age 20 I dropped out of college to work as a stockbroker. Responding to an ad in the paper that promised earnings of $10,000 per month I thought at that rate I could save up enough money in no time to move across the country from my parent’s home in Commack, NY to Los Angeles so I could start an acting career. That plan didn’t work as well as I had hoped and eventually I went back to school to Pace University where I received my Accounting Degree in 1996 at age 25. By the time this idea was presented to me a lot had changed about the stock market and especially about the way that investors and advisers alike can access information. Frankly I found it overwhelming at first. I still do, but with the help of some trusted advisers I am able to get the guidance I need about the right places to go in order to get reliable information that isn’t being pumped out to me by people who are being paid to do so. I had also acquired enough knowledge about blogging and internet marketing to know how to develop the web presence for AnalystsOnline.com. So I am here for two primary purposes;
- To learn as much as I can about the stock market
- To provide one easy place for people to come to in order to get access to the information I can find.
I am not doing this alone and as we speak I am looking for contributors who can write market commentary. Please visit my sister site a www.AnalystsOnline.Info for more information on that.
I am also looking for interns to help get the content posted and to learn about a wide range of things from Blogging, to internet marketing, and of course, the stock market.
I am also going to start posting a market recap on Friday’s. This will help you and me stay on top of what is going on!
If you have any questions please feel free to e-mail me: seth@AnalystsOnline.com.
